Well some of it anyways...
My life is crazy right now in this phase. Working 3 jobs for the past year has been exhausting and equally rewarding. Life the past few years has grown into something so extraordinarily beautiful from what it was. Some of you know, some might have wondered, and some of you are hearing this for the first time.
I spent nearly 5 years as a functional and sometimes not so functional alcoholic.
There. It’s out there. Whiskey and vodka cared for me while I was so sad and hiding in shame. My husband hated me and told me how worthless I was every day. I lost myself bit by bit until I was exactly what I was labeled as.
A dui helped get some fire beneath me and June 2022 I said enough.
January 2026 I am 3.5 years sober! What a joy to wake up each day now, surrounded by warmth and love. Dreaming and grinding to make the best for the life I felt unworthy to have.
